A flat 7% all-in per booking — roughly half of the ~15% market standard, with Stripe’s 3% fee shown separately rather than hidden.
Takes a few minutes. We’ll call you within one working day to confirm.
7% flat — half of competitors
One rate, every booking. No tier games, no rate changes by stay length. The ~15% market rate is our headline competitor; we charge less than half of that.
3% Stripe + 4% LFCP — itemised
Competitors usually fold the Stripe fee into their 15%. We show it separately: only the 4% goes to LFCP. On a £100 booking you keep £93; £4 to us, £3 to Stripe.
Stripe payouts to your bank
Every booking settled through Stripe, straight to your account. No invoicing, no waiting on us.

How we suggest your price
We’ll suggest a starting price for your area on the setup call — based on demand, comparable spaces, and your availability. You set the final price and can change it any time. We’re a young marketplace; honest ranges come once we have the booking volume to back them.

Frequently asked questions
Earnings depend on your location, how many hours per week your space is available, and local demand patterns. Spaces in central London or near busy stations, stadiums and event venues tend to earn the most. Spaces with longer daily availability and easier access also rank higher. We'll suggest a starting price for your area on the setup call once we've reviewed your listing — and you can change it from your settings any time.
Listing is free. We charge a flat 7% all-in per booking — roughly half of the ~15% market standard. The 7% breaks down as 3% Stripe payment-gateway fee (passed through at cost) plus 4% to LookingForCarPark. We itemise it so you can see exactly what goes where; competitors typically fold the Stripe fee into their 15%. No monthly subscription, no setup fee, no listing fee.
In most cases, no. You usually do not need planning permission to rent out an existing residential driveway or parking space on your own property. However, some local councils require a permit if you rent for more than 28 days per year, and leasehold properties may have restrictions in the tenancy agreement. If in doubt, check with your local council or leaseholder. We cannot provide legal advice — consult a solicitor for edge cases.
The UK Rent a Room Scheme does not apply to driveway or parking-space income (it is for lodgers only). However, HMRC's Property Allowance lets you earn up to £1,000 per tax year from property-related income without paying tax or declaring it. Above £1,000, you must declare the income on a self-assessment return. We recommend consulting an accountant for income above the allowance, and note that this is general guidance — not tax advice.
Payouts are made directly to your UK bank account via Stripe once your space has completed bookings. Typical payout cadence while we onboard is monthly, moving to weekly as your booking volume builds. We'll confirm your bank details and Stripe setup on the onboarding call.
Drivers book through verified accounts — no anonymous arrivals — and every booking is recorded against the registered vehicle plate, giving you a clear audit trail of who booked, when, and for which slot. Private host driveways aren't ANPR-enforced (that's an infrastructure choice we make at LFCP-operated sites like Waterloo), but the booking record + verified driver identity is the same. As with any UK parking, vehicles are left at the owner's risk and covered by the driver's own insurance — we don't provide a blanket vehicle insurance policy.
Report the incident to our support team within 48 hours with photos at info@lookingforcarpark.com or by replying to your booking confirmation. We pull the booking record (verified driver, registered plate, slot timing — plus ANPR camera logs at sites that have them), contact the driver, and help you pursue the driver's own insurance where applicable. We also share the booking audit trail so you can escalate through your own property insurance if needed.
The listing wizard takes roughly 5 – 10 minutes. You provide your address, upload a couple of photos, set your availability and price (or let us suggest competitive rates on the call), and review. Once submitted, we typically review and publish within 1 – 2 working days.
